Description
This functional tissue unit (FTU) illustration includes cell types related to the thymus lobule FTU in the ASCT+B Table Thymus v1.2. The cell types and measurements were referenced from (Palumbo 2008; “Thymus Histology,” n.d.; “Lobules of Thymus - e-Anatomy - IMAIOS,” n.d.)Uberon describes this FTU as follows: "A lobule that is part of a thymus. Divided into an outer cortex and inner medulla and separated from each other by connective tissue septa, but with the medullary tissue continuous from lobule to lobule."
